Volkswagen Type 2 replica.

I didn’t have to travel far for today’s daily photo.

This battered VW Kombi toy sits on my chest of drawers in our bedroom. Its unloved appearance is due primarily to having been rolled over the edge onto the floor a couple of times in recent years. Hence the unattached bumper!

Officially titled Volkswagen Type 2, we know it as a Kombi, and this not-too-accurate replica is Second generation Type 2.

Many years ago, in another life, I was the proud owner of a 1956 1200cc First Generation Type 2, blue, 9-seater minibus. I wish I still had it. It would possible be worth a small fortune now.
