The Daily Photo – Friday 7 July, 2023

Today’s photo is taken at McLeans Recreation Reserve – a lovely freedom camping area beside the Motueka River, alongside the Motueka Valley Highway near Woodstock.

The only facility available on site is a long drop toilet! So come prepared if you intend to stopover for a couple of days or more.

This morning we woke to a cool misty morning, and so far – as at 4.00pm – we haven’t seen the sun!

So definitely cool and a little damp in winter, but I would imagine in summer it would be a real hotspot.

Mobile phone coverage is very patchy, although it is possible to find “that particular spot” that allows you to get on line.
